The framework of the new shelter constructed by Geoff Pinkerton was installed at the airfield last Wednesday 11th December, 2013. Thanks Geoff for such excellent workmanship. A job well done! We appreciate the help given by members on the day in erecting the framework. Thanks mates. In the new year, shade cloth will be attached and this will give the necessary shade for pilots and their aircraft. | The new pilot safety barrier was installed on the 16th December, 2013 thanks to our assistant, Bill Rogers. Just in case an aircraft strays off the runway on take-off or landing, pilot's legs and ankles will be protected. Alan James (pictured above) was the first pilot to test it out. |
Guess What ? The grass is growing now, since some good rain has fallen. The areas covered by crusher dust are shrinking in size. This means more work for the mower men but a much better surface for the runways and taxiways.
